Established the Smart Materials and Structures Lab (SMSL) @ BITS-Goa (SMSL), BITS-Goa

SMSL is developed with vision in mind to promote the awareness in the students in India about smart materials including Shape Memory Alloys, Piezo-ceramics, Magnetorheological and many more….

The goal of SMSL is to exposes senior and graduate students to rapidly growing field of smart material-based structures/systems. SMSL is equipped with following components -

  • NI USB My-DAQ systems (for UG students hands on experience in fold of controls and data acquisition)
  • Falco WMA-300, High speed high voltage amplifier (±150 V)

  • FLIR One Pro, Thermal Camera
